The Brief

Duracell asked for a sales video to showcase their groundbreaking new innovations, a battery technology that delivered never-before-seen power output.

The Approach

We delivered a mini documentary. In a true testament to the power of collaborative teamwork, our team overcame the barriers of a quarantine-disrupted shoot and captured interviews, demo footage, and a full-scale production from dozens of different cities across North America. We showcased how the new technology made Duracell’s partners perform better, chatted with a champion pro gamer, and shed some much-deserved light on the scientists and engineers behind the breakthrough.

  • A Massive Leap in Output

    Our main mission was to take the endless hours the Duracell team spent developing this incredible leap in battery technology and deliver it in a digestible way. Working with our client closely, we found ways to tie these output metrics into real-world applications.

  • Showcasing Our Partners

    A key component of the campaign was working with our original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partners and highlighting the difference made in their products with a better power output. We interviewed key members of these companies and coordinated a remote photo shoot.

  • Building a Story Along the Way

    With the quarantine forcing us to adapt with video interviews with our partners, this project presented the unique challenge of establishing a core story idea at the outset, but building out a more complete story out of their responses. It was a great way to highlight the need for adaptability and being quick and nimble with the script being delivered to our editor.
